Dreams...

Been playing around with the idea of cycling up north the Malaysia Peninsula, starting from Singapore..... when I quit my job in December. Currently, I am the only one there is, but have been checking with my friends as to who might be interested.

Likely locations will be Vietnam or even China; Hong Kong even, if I can make it so far. Need to do a lot more research into the topic before I can embark on it.

Things to consider:
  • Bike - will need to upgrade or get a new bike. Need to change the tires and get panniers, probably even get a new and lighter road frame without the suspension.
  • Bike maintenance - will need to learn more; much more, about the maintenance of bike and its parts....
  • Logistics - Safety Vehicle? Food? Camping equipment? Visas?
  • Safety - Political environment of countries travelling through, socio-economic factors etc....

Sec One orientation

Took the sec 1s to the computer lab for some IT demonstration....... The Sec 1E were pretty cute and serious in their undertakings.....

In the later session, handled the Sec 1NT in a similar demo..... but it was one big mess. They were talking and had SO MANY questions that it was scary....

Sometimes, I really wonder if it is a matter of genetics or conditioning. Does anyone out there even have a chance? Are we born to deliver ourselves into our own spiral of self-destruction? Guess we'll have to wait to ever know............

Back from Hong Kong

Just came back from 4 days of Hong Kong. The weather was fantastic and we were quite fortunate that we did not encounter any of the rain gods.....

Went drinking with my friends at the Murphy's pub along Nathan Rd.... One of the highlights of the events as we were drinking in the afternoon while the girls were shopping and blowing away their golden nest eggs at Espirit....... What I wouldn't give to be able to drink in the the middle of a weekday with nary a care about work or commitments.

Went over to the CTMA centre in MongKok and was blown away by the toys there..... Must make another trip to Hong Kong again to get the Japanese figures there. One notable collector's item was an Edison Chen doll that was decked out in Planet of the Apes gear; t-shirt, berms, shoes and even an ape mask that could be placed over the head of the doll..... It looks super cool but must have been super expensive, considering that it was a limited edition doll and that the pre-order was full.....

Other cool toys were the Masked Rider statues. Really brought back many childhood memories.

1st attempt

Yup.... This is me, at 28 years old and JUST starting a blog. Read a lot about it and was pretty intimidated at first. But now that I 'm in , it's relatively pain and fuss-free.
